The eggplant-shaped teapot has a plump, solid rounded body. Its lid knob is exquisitely shaped like an eggplant calyx, with soft and smooth flowing lines. It fits comfortably in hand.
Both sides of the teapot body feature elaborate hand engraving of sturdy ancient pine trees with well-proportioned pine needles that exude an elegant and refined bearing. There is also a tea poem carving, " 闲来松间坐，看煮松上雪" .
